Week of 4/13
Hello again art and ceramics friends. We hope you are doing well, staying safe, and trying to smile a little (more help on that later). This week we have some work for you, and then the following week we are going to get rolling. Now that the Governor and the State Superintendent have decided that we are not going back to school, we want to provide you with ‘art opportunities’ for learning. We will be communicating with you through school e-mail. Mr. Ball and myself will contact classes individually, but also have some information on this page.
For this week:
Art classes take a look at these videos and try to play along with them. There is some great information on shading and value.
How to shade with pencil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WR-FyUQc6I&t=48s
How to draw mountains with pencil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsWvYIBtM6o
For fun and to get you ready for next week try this one. Once you get this next one done the challenge is to come up with a phrase or one liner joke to go with the drawing and send it to someone you know.
For fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvfEPYsAYdk
Advanced Art students I will be communicating with you soon to talk about supplies and where we can go from here. Look at the videos above and I would encourage you to draw along.
Ceramic students: The sad realization that we are not going back and that I won’t be able to get you clay to work with is truly breaking my heart. I have been doing some deep digging online and have found some activities that, while not playing with clay should still be fun.
For this week your task is to take a picture of something that speaks ’stay at home- lock down’ and tell me in a few sentences why you chose to take the image. I will be communicating with you directly through e-mail.
At this point we don’t need anything turned in, but please if you are doing anything artsy keep them because at some point we would love to see it all.
Covid Craziness
Today is Covid day # 12. I never see Elephants hiding in tress…
They must be really good at it
Today is Covid day # 13 Today I wore something from 5 years ago and it actually fit! I was so proud of myself…
It was a scarf, but hey lets keep it positive
Take care you all we miss you
