Hello, everyone! Oh, how I wish I could see all of you in person, as I always have so much fun when I come to visit your English class. I hope you are staying healthy and have been finding some things to enjoy while we are not physically at school.
I wanted to make sure you had some materials that might help you with your narrative writing assignment. We have spent lots of time talking about writing simple, compound, and complex sentences that add detail to your writing. You will find some information below that might make the writing a little easier.
REMINDERS ABOUT CONJUNCTIONS AND YOUTUBE VIDEOS TO HELP YOU REMEMBER:
Coordinating Conjunctions (FANBOYS)
(Subject + Verb) + COMMA + conjunction + (Subject + Verb)
Example: My brother likes to watch television, but my sister enjoys reading a book.
For
And
Nor
But
Or
Yet
So

Subordinating Conjunctions
(Subject + verb) + subordinating conjunction + (Subject + verb).
Example: My brother likes watching television while by sister enjoys reading a book.
OR
Subordinating conjunction + (Subject + Verb), (comma) + (Subject + Verb).
Example: While my sister enjoys reading a book, my brother likes to watch television.
(Don’t forget to check your commas!)
