COVID-19 Budget
Your situation: You are a server at a restaurant and have lost your job due to the COVID-19 Virus. Your significant other works part time cleaning various offices in the area and makes minimum wage. You both try to schedule work so that you can share watching your elementary school age children while they are off from school. You do have two days each week where one of the children’s grandparents can watch them for part of the day. The unemployment money you qualify for is a much lower amount than what you were making before. You have a chance to pick up work at a local grocery store at minimum wage, but fulltime hours. It would be significantly more than your unemployment money would bring in.
Using this budget sheet, plot a financial course for you and your family that will allow you to pay the bills and not fall heavily into debt to the best of your ability. Save your work because you will be turning it in soon.
After you completed your plan, pick a question and write a paragraph to answer it:
